The Würzburg Spring Volksfest 2026 will take place from March 14th to 29th on the Talavera. Mayor Martin Heilig will tap the first barrel on March 14th at 4:00 PM, accompanied musically from 3:00 PM by the band Aalbachtal Express. Around 50 showmen will offer rides and classics, plus family days, a low-stimulation afternoon, brilliant fireworks, and a boxing evening.

From March 14th to 29th, 2026, the Talavera in Würzburg will transform into the venue for Bavaria's first major Volksfest. The kick-off is on Saturday, March 14th, at 2:00 PM with discounted ride prices; the official opening with beer tapping by Mayor Martin Heilig will follow at 4:00 PM, accompanied by the band Aalbachtal Express from 3:00 PM.

Around 50 showmen will present modern rides and classics such as the Ferris wheel and the chain carousel on the grounds between Talaveraschlösschen and the Fraunhofer Institute. New is the high-speed ride "Infinity" with heights up to 65 meters and speeds up to 120 km/h. The Hahn festival tent will offer lively music daily, along with regional cuisine and a specially brewed spring festival beer.

Getting there

The Talavera is located on the western bank of the Main river in Würzburg and is easily accessible by tram and bus lines. By car via the A3 or A7, Würzburg is also a high-speed train stop for Deutsche Bahn.

Opening hours

The spring fair is open Monday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The festival tent is open Monday to Thursday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Friday and Saturday from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
