Anniversary festival of the TSV Offingen football department — 100 years of club football on the Mindel, Günzburg district
With around 1,100 members, TSV Offingen is the largest club in the market town of Offingen in the Günzburg district. The football department is one of its pillars — founded in 1926, it celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026. The anniversary weekend from July 17 to 19, 2026, brings together active players, veterans, youth, friendly clubs, and the village around the Mindelhalle and the Mindelbogen sports grounds.
The Swabian market town of Offingen is located on the Mindel, a right tributary of the Danube, between Günzburg and Burgau. TSV Offingen — full name: Turn- und Sportverein Offingen 1912 — was founded in 1912, with the football department added in 1926. Today, the department's teams play in the lower Bavarian leagues, alongside strong youth work and several amateur and women's teams.
The 75th anniversary from July 20 to 22, 2001, was already celebrated at these exact locations: ceremonial acts and dance evenings in the Mindelhalle, sporting events on the sports grounds in Mindelbogen. In 2026, the anniversary festival will follow this proven structure — a weekend with a clear separation between festive indoor events and sporting outdoor activities.
As is customary for Bavarian sports clubs, a club's anniversary is not just an internal occasion — it becomes a village festival. Families from Offingen, Schwenningen, Ried, Burgau, Gundremmingen, Günzburg, and the surrounding communities come to watch, eat, drink, meet an old club friend, or assess the current playing level of the home team.
For its 100th anniversary, the TSV Offingen football department is following the proven format of its 75th-anniversary festival in 2001: ceremonial act and indoor program in the Mindelhalle, tournaments and family activities on the Mindelbogen sports grounds.
The detailed program with match times, bands, and admission conditions will be announced a few weeks before the festival on tsv-offingen.de and on the department's Facebook page.
The complete daily program had not yet been officially published at the time of creating this fact sheet. Based on the 75th-anniversary celebration in 2001 (July 20–22, at the same location) and the typical structure of Bavarian sports club anniversaries, the following outline is expected:
Friday, July 17, 2026 — Festival Evening
Saturday, July 18, 2026 — Tournament Day
Sunday, July 19, 2026 — Festival Sunday
You will find the detailed program and times shortly before the festival on tsv-offingen.de, on the football department's Facebook page, and in the market town of Offingen's newsletter.
Daytime events (tournaments, morning pint, family program) are free to attend. Admission to the festival evenings in the Mindelhalle may require a ticket (prices will be announced by the club before the festival).
By car via the A8 (Burgau exit) or the B16 — Offingen is located between Günzburg and Burgau. By train: Offingen station is directly on the Donautalbahn line, easily accessible from Munich, Augsburg, and Ulm.
Admission to daytime events is free. Evening festival events may require tickets; details will be announced by the club a few weeks before the festival on tsv-offingen.de.
