The festival sees itself as a "summer camp for all ages" – a place where music, nature, and community are the focus.
The Four Elements as a Guiding Theme
Thematically, Wundaplunda revolves around the four elements: fire, water, earth, and air. The festival aims to advocate for a sustainable future, create community, connect generations, and refocus on nature and our social and ecological environment. Offerings include:
- Live music with folk and world music
- Performance art and artistic presentations
- Nature workshops for children and adults
- Camping in the middle of nature
- Games, competitions, and a market
- Regional organic catering
Family-Friendly and Ecological
With around 800 visitors, Wundaplunda consciously remains manageable. The family atmosphere, the avoidance of mass operations, and the consistent focus on sustainability make the festival a special experience – an alternative to loud major festivals, emphasizing encounters and connection with nature.
Legau and the Unterallgäu Region
Legau is a market town in the Unterallgäu district, nestled in the gentle pre-Alpine landscape. The Umweltstation Unterallgäu as the venue underscores the festival's ecological claim and makes Wundaplunda an authentic nature festival in the Bavarian Allgäu region.
