A Shooting Club Since 1921

The Schützengesellschaft Hiddenhausen von 1921 e.V. (SG Hiddenhausen for short) is one of the traditional shooting clubs in the Herford district. Founded two years after the First World War, the club has survived the twenties, the Nazi era, the Second World War, and the post-war decades – and has been celebrating its summer Schützenfest at the Hiddenhausen Schützenplatz for over 100 years.

Dates 2026 – June 8th and 9th

The 2026 Schützenfest runs on Whit Monday and Tuesday, June 8th and 9th. Regional reporting (Westfalen-Blatt, NW) confirms the date. Venue: the Schützenplatz on August-Griese-Straße.

Saturday – Muster and Wreath Laying

The festival opening on Whit Monday, June 8th, 2026, follows a dense protocol:

• 4:15 PM: Muster of the battalions at the village square with the reigning king and queen Patrick Siderczyk and Kim Siderczyk and adjutants Clara Stellmacher and Heinz Siderczyk.
• 4:30 PM: Wreath laying at the war memorial in Hiddenhausen – remembrance of the fallen marksmen and the fallen of the World Wars.
• 6:30 PM: Reception of guest clubs at the Schützenplatz – friendly shooting clubs from the Herford district and the region.
• Following: Festive commers in the festival tent with a ceremonial speech and musical accompaniment.

Sunday – King's Shooting and Festive Evening

On Whit Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, the king's shooting is the focus – starting at 1:30 PM at the shooting stand. The decisive shot is expected by early evening, followed by the crowning of the new king and queen. The festive evening with the king's dance and polonaise concludes the weekend.

Hiddenhausen – Municipality in the Wittekindsland

The municipality of Hiddenhausen is located in the southern Herford district, in the so-called Wittekindsland (Wittekind, the Saxon leader, is a legendary figure here). With around 19,000 inhabitants, Hiddenhausen is a rural municipality – the SG Hiddenhausen is one of its most important club organizations. In addition to the SG, there are other shooting clubs in the districts of Schweicheln-Bermbeck, Oetinghausen, and Nordengerland.
