Wolf of Winestreet — Wolfsburg Castle Festival

Wolf of Winestreet is a newly conceived Palatinate Castle Festival, taking place for the first time in its current format in 2026. The format is the successor to the well-known "Wolfsgeheul" festival, which was regularly held at Wolfsburg Castle in previous years. With the new English name — an allusion to the highly dramatic film "Wolf of Wall Street" — the event gains a more modern profile and a fresh brand identity.

The venue is the Wolfsburg Castle ruins — the medieval Palatinate architectural monument above Neustadt an der Weinstraße, which is maintained voluntarily by the Wolfsburgverein Neustadt e.V. and used for special events.

The 2026 edition will take place from Saturday, September 12th to Sunday, September 13th, 2026 — a September weekend with often mild weather, ideal for a castle festival with evening opening.

Saturday, September 12th, starting in the afternoon, marks the festive opening. Highlights:

• Romantic illumination of the castle ruins — as dusk falls, the medieval castle structure is bathed in atmospheric light.
• Live music — Palatinate bands or solo artists with a program acoustically suited to the castle atmosphere.
• Palatinate whisky specialties — a remarkable Palatinate peculiarity: In recent years, a small but high-quality Palatinate whisky distilling tradition has developed, which is presented here. A change from the classic Palatinate wine offerings.

Sunday, September 13th, 2026 offers a colorful entertainment program — family-oriented, with cultural and culinary offerings. Details will be published by the Wolfsburgverein in due course.
