Carnival with the Wolfsstecher Tradition
The 1st Rappenauer Carneval-Verein „Die Wolfsstecher 1997 e.V.“ is the largest carnival formation in Bad Rappenau and has shaped the Fasching (carnival) activities in the spa town in the Heilbronn district since the club's founding in 1997. Its traditional parade on Fasching Saturday is the largest carnival event in northern Baden-Württemberg, attracting thousands of spectators from the entire Heilbronn–Heidelberg–Karlsruhe region.
Parade from 2:11 PM
The symbolic start time of 2:11 PM refers to the carnival "eleven o'clock" — the start of organized festivities. The parade begins in Babstadter Straße and proceeds through the Bad Rappenau town center to the Mühltalhalle. Along the route, it is accompanied by carnival clubs, Guggenmusik bands, fanfares, floats, riding groups, and dance formations from the entire Swabian-Franconian region.
Après-Ski Mega Party in the Mühltalhalle
After the parade, the party begins: From 5:30 PM, entry to the Après-Ski Mega Party in the Mühltalhalle; the program starts at 6:00 PM. Live acts 2026: Tobee (known for "Helikopter 117" and other Après-Ski hits) and Alyssa Melody. In between, DJ Mabyy will keep the mood high. The Mühltalhalle becomes the region's largest Après-Ski disco — cowboy boots, plaid shirts, carnival costumes, or ski pants, everything is allowed.
Bad Rappenau in the Heilbronn District
Bad Rappenau is a spa town in the Heilbronn district on the edge of the Kraichgau, about 25 kilometers northwest of Heilbronn. The town, with its approximately 22,000 inhabitants, has been known as a brine spa since the 19th century — the nearby salt mine provided the brine springs for today's thermal baths and rehabilitation clinics. Carnival and brine spa town: an unusual combination that makes Bad Rappenau unique.
Swabian-Franconian Fastnacht
Bad Rappenau lies at the transition between Swabian and Franconian carnival traditions. The Wolfsstecher parade combines both elements: witches, wolves, and jesters characterize the costumes, while Rhenish and Alemannic influences can also be heard. Fasching Saturday 2026 in Bad Rappenau
The parade starts, as is traditional, at 2:11 PM in Babstadter Straße and winds through the Bad Rappenau town center to the Mühltalhalle. Numerous carnival clubs from the Swabian-Franconian region, Guggenmusik bands (Swiss carnival tradition), fanfares, and dance formations accompany the parade. The atmosphere along the route is exuberant, with confetti, "Helau" shouts, and candy for children being standard.
From 5:30 PM, entry to the Mühltalhalle. The hall transforms into a Mega Après-Ski Disco; the program starts at 6:00 PM: Tobee live with his Après-Ski hits, Alyssa Melody as the second live act, and in between, DJ Mabyy. The party continues well past midnight.

Getting There
Bad Rappenau is accessible by car via the A 6 motorway (Mannheim–Nuremberg, Bad Rappenau exit). By train (RB from Heilbronn) to Bad Rappenau station, then a 5-minute walk to the town center. On carnival Saturdays, special parking lots on the outskirts of town with a shuttle service to the Mühltalhalle.

The parade route is freely accessible. Grandstand seats are available only upon registration with the club.

Advance tickets for the Après-Ski Mega Party are available via the Wolfsstecher website or the town's ticket shop. Day tickets cost approximately €20–€30 (exact prices will be published in early 2026). Entry only with a valid ticket from 5:30 PM.
