Kropper Mondscheinnacht

30 Years of Tradition

The Kropper Mondscheinnacht originated in 1996 as a grand village festival organized by the Trade, Craft & Business Association of Kropp (HHG) and has since become the most important date in the community's calendar, held every two years. In 2026, the 30th edition will be celebrated — marking 30 years of the association's commitment. The motto "30 Years — Shining Memories, Sparkling Nights!" captures the nocturnal atmosphere of the festival that gave it its name.

Three Days of Festival Program in the Town Center

Kropp's town center will be completely transformed for three days:

• Friday — Opening in the late afternoon with live music on two stages. Bands and solo artists from the region will perform throughout the evening.
• Saturday — Grand parade through the center with decorated floats, associations, family groups, businesses, and creative walking groups. Followed by live entertainment, open-air concerts, and festival activities into the night.
• Sunday — Creative market featuring arts and crafts and handmade goods from the region. Family entertainment and a musical closing.

Amusement Rides and Food

Amusement rides and game stalls for children and teenagers will be available throughout the festival grounds. Several food stalls offering local specialties, sausages, fries, drinks, and snacks from the region complete the experience.

Kropp — Main Town of the Amt Kropp-Stapelholm

Kropp is located in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg in the state of Schleswig-Holstein and is the seat of the Amt Kropp-Stapelholm — a municipal association stretching from the Eider to the Treene rivers. With around 7,000 inhabitants, Kropp is one of the largest municipalities in the region. The Mondscheinnacht attracts visitors from the entire district and beyond every two years.

The event is supported by the Trade, Craft & Business Association of Kropp (HHG) — an alliance of local businesses that organizes the entire festival through voluntary work. Sponsors from the region support the program.
