Bad Rappenauer Stadtfest — 48 Years of Volksfest Tradition

From June 19th to 21st, 2026, the Sole-Heilbad town of Bad Rappenau celebrates the 48th edition of its traditional Stadtfest. For three days, the festival transforms the city center around the Kirchplatz and Bahnhofsvorplatz into a lively festival mile with two stages, culinary stands, and a great program for families.

Program — Live Music, Sports, and Family

The festival weekend kicks off on Friday, June 19th, starting at 7 PM with live bands on two stages. On the Volksbank stage (Kirchplatz), the cover band Extasy Pure Rock plays classic rock and metal hits, while on the stage at Bahnhofsvorplatz, Perfect Heat delivers a wide spectrum from AC/DC to current pop music.

On Saturday, June 20th, starting at 3:30 PM, the official opening ceremony with free beer and pretzels follows. The evening is dominated by rock concerts and DJ sets — additionally, traditional brass band music is played in the Bonfelder Musikverein tent. At 10 PM, a live broadcast of the World Cup preliminary match Germany vs. Ivory Coast is planned on a big screen.

Sunday, June 21st, begins at 10 AM with an ecumenical church service, followed by chamber orchestra performances, dance shows, and a concluding concert by the Grombacher Musikvereins-Bigband starting at 5:30 PM.

Children's and Family Program

The Stadtfest places special emphasis on families: magic shows, Punch and Judy (Kasperl und der Schelmenhund Bello), braiding and henna tattoo stations, a carousel, and a mini-train provide three days of children's fun. All activities are accessible at low cost or for free.

Culinary Delights — Local Clubs and Restaurants

Local clubs, restaurants, and regional providers handle the culinary offerings. From classic schnitzel to pizza and crêpes, as well as cocktail bars and wine stands from the Heilbronn region, the selection covers three festival days.

Bad Rappenau — Sole-Heilbad in the Heilbronn Region

With around 22,000 inhabitants, Bad Rappenau is located in the northern Landkreis Heilbronn (Heilbronn district) on the A6 motorway between Heilbronn and Sinsheim. The Sole-Heilbad is known for its spa center with a brine thermal bath and salt meadow garden — a result of the brine springs that have been tapped here since the 19th century. The Bad Rappenau Water Castle and the Kurpark (spa park) with its palace grounds are among the city's tourist highlights.
