Grand Carnival Parade of the Spa Town and 20th Après-Ski Party
The 1st Rappenau Carnival Club "Die Wolfsstecher 1997 e.V." is the main driving force behind Bad Rappenau's Carnival scene. Despite its Baden-Swabian location (Bad Rappenau is in the Heilbronn district, not in the classic Rhenish Carnival region), the club has carved out a firm place in the South German Carnival landscape. The parade on Carnival Saturday is its highlight and is one of the largest in the Heilbronn-Nordbaden region.
The parade starts punctually at 2:11 PM (classic Carnival time) on Babstadter Straße, proceeds through the pedestrian zone, past the town hall and through Kirchenstraße, ending at the Mühltalhalle — the club's unofficial Carnival headquarters. The route is approximately 1.5 km long, with spectators lining sidewalks, squares, and steps. In mild weather, several thousand visitors come from Bad Rappenau, the Heilbronn district, and the nearby Kraichgau.
Local traditional clubs, dance groups, guards, floats with political or humorous themes, music clubs, and neighboring Carnival societies participate in the parade. Thrown items — candies, confetti, small toys — fly from the floats. The typical South German Carnival atmosphere mixes with "Helau" shouts and Swabian-Franconian traditional elements.
After the parade — in the evening — the club's Après-Ski Party takes place in the Mühltalhalle. In 2026, it's the 20th anniversary of this event. Headliners are Tobee (Ballermann Schlager) and Alyssa Melody. Tickets are available in advance and at the door. Admission is age-restricted (usually from 16 or 18 years old, details from the club).
Punctually at 2:11 PM, the 2026 Wolfsstecher parade gets underway. Traditional clubs, dance groups, guards, floats, and music clubs march through Bad Rappenau's city center. Thousands of spectators line the route.
After the parade, the action moves to the Mühltalhalle: The 20th Après-Ski Party — an anniversary — celebrates with Tobee and Alyssa Melody late into the night.
