From Summer Beach to Winter Wonderland

In summer, StrandPauli is one of Hamburg's most famous beach clubs: white sand, loungers, harbour views, cocktails by the water. When the days get shorter and the first frost blows across the Elbe, the entire club transforms into a winter Christmas market – Hamburg's first and longest of the season. While other major markets don't start until late November and close around Christmas, StrandPauli runs from early November to mid-February – well beyond the traditional Advent season.

Fire, Fir Trees, and Harbour Views

The setting is extraordinary: open fires, hundreds of illuminated fir trees, Elbe river views, with small huts serving mulled wine, apple punch, kale, and bratwurst in between. The atmosphere is a blend of an alpine ski lodge and Hamburg harbour romance – a hybrid that no other market in the city offers.

Hacienda and À La Carte Experience

Those who don't want to sit outdoors by the fire can use the heated Hacienda pavilion. Here, à la carte dishes are served: fondue, Hamburg's Pannfisch, steaks, pizzas, winter cocktails, and regional wines. A Bavarian ski lodge can be rented for private events – corporate Christmas parties are a central pillar of the business model.

St. Pauli and the Winter Market

The market is located in the Hamburg-Mitte district, St. Pauli neighbourhood, directly on the beach club's waterfront between Landungsbrücken and the fish market. Leaving the market, you're on the Reeperbahn or at the Hamburg Dungeon in five minutes. The harbour view remains the main emotional draw – ship sides, container ships, sunsets over Steinwerder as a constant backdrop.
