WinterBeats Festival Ingolstadt

Southern Germany's largest indoor festival

Since 2010, the WinterBeats Festival has been the indoor festival flagship of the Bavarian university city of Ingolstadt. In the SATURN-Arena, which normally serves as the ice hockey venue for ERC Ingolstadt, the WinterBeats team sets up a complete multi-floor festival once a year in February – including a mainstage, four genre floors, and a new experience zone. With over 6,500 guests annually, it is the largest indoor festival in Southern Germany.

Five floors – one genre for every mood

The musical concept focuses on sharp genre separation in the arena:

• Laserdome Mainstage – EDM and festival anthems with a large laser show
• Antarktiswave – Techno and Hardtechno
• Hot ’n’ Dirty-Area – HipHop, R&B, Black Music
• Snowstorm – Hardstyle and Harder Styles, presented by ACTIVATED Records
• Goa Floor – Goa and Psytrance

In 2026, a "Heroes Zone" / Action Zone will be added as an additional experience area.

Ice rink included

A WinterBeats special feature: Since the SATURN-Arena is an ice hockey stadium in winter, the ice surface is partially retained for the festival. A small ice rink is integrated into the festival area – visitors can skate a lap between sets. This clearly sets WinterBeats apart from other large indoor festivals.

Lineup: German and international acts

The lineup mixes international headliners with resident DJs. In previous years, guests included Vini Vici, Harris & Ford, and ATB, among others. For 2026, Schrotthagen, HBz, and Poltergst are announced, along with resident DJ sets by Slykes & Butch, BassWar & CaoX, and Mary Lena for the opening show. The Hardstyle label ACTIVATED Records is programming the Snowstorm floor.

Ingolstadt and the SATURN-Arena

Ingolstadt (an independent city in the Upper Bavaria region of Bavaria) is the fourth-largest city in Bavaria, the home of Audi, and a university location. The SATURN-Arena in the south of the city can hold several thousand visitors and is the largest event hall in the region – making it the perfect festival space for a large indoor event that is independent of bad weather.
