From Summer Night Dream to Summer Night Festival

The Braunlage Summer Night Dream was launched seven years ago as a summer event format in the Braunlage Kurpark. Over the years, the format developed into a popular summer date and increasingly attracted visitors from all over the Harz region. In 2026, the event was programmatically expanded and renamed Summer Night Festival — a clear step to underscore the growing importance of the format and to elevate the program to an expanded level.

Seven Hours of Program in the Kurpark

The 2026 festival spans seven hours — from 5 PM to midnight. This long program duration allows for a deliberate staging with different phases: an afternoon opening with initial program items, an evening highlight with live bands, and a night atmosphere with walking acts and light staging on the Kurteich pond.

Two Lake Stages on the Kurteich

A special feature of the Summer Night Festival is the two lake stages on the Kurteich. Floating stages or stages set up on the shore allow for an extraordinary staging — the live bands play over or on the water, and the reflections, lighting, and effects make every performance a visual experience. This connection between music and water is a central hallmark of the festival.

Pop, Rock, and Jazz in the Live Program

The musical program spans several genres — pop, rock, and jazz. This deliberate breadth is aimed at a multi-generational audience and ensures that different moods arise throughout the evening. The specific acts will be announced by the organizer in early summer 2026.

Walking Acts in Luminous Costumes

Another special feature is the walking acts in luminous costumes, who move through the Kurpark and provide artistic surprises. Luminous stilt walkers, fire show artists, dance performers, and other performers create a magical atmosphere that makes the festival a multi-dimensional experience — not just a concert, but a summer night staging.
