About go to GÖ

The go to GÖ Festival is one of the most unusual music festivals in the Ostallgäu region. In the small village of Görisried, the music and traditional costume association, together with the local sports club, transforms the festival grounds into a giant circus tent each spring, modeled after Munich's Tollwood Festival. In 2026, the festival will celebrate its 30th anniversary, once again bridging Bavarian brass band music, hip-hop, and Mallorca hits over three themed evenings – supported exclusively by volunteer helpers from the village.

Three Themed Evenings in the Ostallgäu

The go to GÖ Festival has been held since 1993 in Görisried, a village of 1,100 inhabitants in the Ostallgäu district. The organizer is MK-TSV Görisried GmbH, a joint venture of the music club and the gymnastics and sports club. What began as an international football tournament has evolved over three decades into a three-day festival with a clear structure: three evenings, three very different themed worlds.

From Circus Tent to Mallorca Stage

The centerpiece is an eight-mast circus tent, which is otherwise used at the Tollwood Festival in Munich. It can accommodate several thousand visitors and, along with other catering and sanitary tents, stands on approximately 5,000 m² of weatherproof ground. Despite these dimensions, the festival remains a village project – supported by club members, families, and neighbors who handle setup and dismantling, catering, admission, and logistics anew each year.

30 Years of go to GÖ – 2026 Anniversary Edition

For the 30th edition, the three festival evenings will be spread over two weekends: Friday and Saturday, April 24/25, and Saturday, May 2, 2026. Tickets are available starting from €29.99 (day ticket), and 3-day passes are also available. Advance sales are via the official website go-to-goe.de.

Allgäu and Ostallgäu District

Görisried is located in southwestern Bavaria, in the Ostallgäu district, about 30 km west of Kempten and 25 km east of Kaufbeuren. The festival is firmly anchored in the Allgäu event calendar and is listed by the Allgäu tourism association as one of the region's most unusual multi-generational events.

go to GÖ — edition 2026

The organizer is MK-TSV Görisried GmbH; day tickets start at €29.99, and 3-day passes are available.
