Five days of wine tasting with live music on the Baltic Sea beach
Rügen is not known for its viticulture, but for its beech forests, steep coasts, and chalk cliffs. All the more charming is the idea of the Wine and Enjoyment Days Göhren: German and European vintners come with their wines to the Baltic Sea and present them in one of the most beautiful spots on the island – at the Kurpavillon on the Bernsteinpromenade, with a sea view and the pier behind.
The five days are deliberately relaxed: the stalls open daily from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Visitors can sample wines from different regions, talk to the vendors, get advice, and decide on the spot what to take home. The whole event is accompanied by an atmospheric music program.
In addition to wine, regional delicacies are offered: cheese, ham, honey, Mecklenburg fish specialties. The concept is aimed at gourmets who want to enhance their summer holiday on Rügen with culinary delights – without haste, without package entertainment, but with time and music.
The organizer is the Kurverwaltung Ostseebad Göhren (Poststraße 9). The Wine and Enjoyment Days are part of a series of accessible summer events with which the Baltic Sea resort cultivates its character as a family-friendly, rather quiet holiday destination in Vorpommern-Rügen – in contrast to louder beach festivals in Binz or Sellin.
The 2026 edition continues the proven concept: daily opening hours from 2 PM to 10 PM, tasting stalls with advice from vintners and sommeliers, regional delicacies, and a varied live music program. In addition to the regular performances by Laszlo Saxx and Marion Seibert, Jens Syllwasschy, Joe Carpenter, and blues and pop artists will perform on other days. Free admission, tasting for a consumption fee.
Free admission. A small consumption charge is usually calculated per glass of wine; regional specialties and purchased bottles are settled directly at the stalls.
Train: Narrow-gauge railway "Rasender Roland" to the final station Göhren, from there a few minutes to the Bernsteinpromenade.
Car: A 20 to Stralsund, then continue via the B 196 to Göhren. Parking available at the entrance to the town.
Free admission. Wine tasting and consumption on site for a fee; a small consumption charge is usually calculated per glass.
Ideally, visit for several days to experience different stalls and live acts. Do not drive after tasting – use the excellent bus and train system in the east of the island.
