Wine enjoyment and shopping fair in Messe Bremen
When Hall 5 of Messe Bremen fills with the aroma of fine wines, it's time for the WEINmesse. On a spring weekend, the exhibition center on Findorffstraße transforms into a meeting point for everyone who loves wine — from the curious beginner to the connoisseur. Around a hundred exhibitors from all over Germany — renowned wineries, innovative winemakers, and experienced specialist dealers — offer their wines, sparkling wines, and semi-sparkling wines for tasting. Free mineral water ensures clear taste impressions between tastings.
The WEINmesse Bremen is a stop on the supra-regional WEINmessen series, which visits several major German cities. For the Northwest, the Bremen edition is the central event: producers from classic growing regions — Pfalz, Rheinhessen, Mosel, Baden, Franken — meet a pleasure-seeking Hanseatic audience. The focus is clearly on tasting, advice, and shopping, not on a purely trade fair atmosphere.
The concept of the WEINmesse combines enjoyment and shopping: those who find a wine convincing can buy it directly on-site, often at fair conditions, and receive personal advice from the producers. The offer is complemented by typical regional specialties and delicacies, wine accessories, and tourist offers from the wine regions. The hall caterer offers small dishes that pair well with wine — because one should not start a tasting on an empty stomach. A special focus is also placed on sustainability and environmentally friendly cultivation methods, a topic that is gaining increasing importance in the industry.
Messe Bremen is centrally located and easily accessible near the main train station; the entire grounds are barrier-free. This makes the WEINmesse not only a trade event but also an enjoyable experience for a broad audience in the state of Bremen — and proof that the Hanseatic city cultivates a vibrant culture of enjoyment beyond coffee and beer.
