Boots Night Festival – A Weekend for Bremen's Punk and Ska Scene
When the doors of the Kulturzentrum Schlachthof on Findorffstraße open at the end of February, Bremen becomes its own small capital of subculture for a weekend. For years, the Boots Night Festival has bundled street punk, Oi!, ska, reggae, and hardcore into a packed program spread across three floors: Kesselhalle, Magazinkeller, and Magazinboden. You'll move from one stage to the next, meet old acquaintances from the scene, and discover bands you'd rarely see together in a single Hanseatic city.
Three Floors, Eleven Bands, One Clear Statement
For the 2026 edition, eleven acts are confirmed, along with a free art exhibition titled System:[Neonchaos_24/7] meets Punk'n Paint and two after-show parties. The mix of international headliners and local bands is typical for the Schlachthof: here, subculture is not just consumed, it's lived. The program ranges from London's reggae-punk legends like Ruts DC to Italian ska heroes like Los Fastidios and Bremen newcomers like The Ramenoes.
Findorff District – A Festival with a Home Port
The Schlachthof is located in the Findorff district, just a few minutes' walk from Bremen's main train station. The cultural center has resided in the listed walls of the former municipal slaughterhouse since the 1980s and is now one of the most important socio-cultural institutions in the Hanseatic city. The Boots Night Festival fits this venue like few others: loud, non-conformist, with a clear commitment to anti-fascism and an open scene. Visitors to the festival immerse themselves in a tradition deeply rooted in Bremen.
Practical Information for Your Festival Visit
Tickets are available in advance from TixforGigs, the Schlachthof office, Black Plastic, GoBäng, or via Pretix. A day ticket costs €35 in advance, €45 at the box office. Those who want to experience the whole weekend can opt for a weekend ticket for €60 or €75 respectively. The Schlachthof is easily accessible by tram line 6 (stop Findorffstraße) and on foot from the main train station.
