Spring Wine Fair with 900 Wines, 110 Producers and Direct Tasting on Düsseldorf's Rheinterrasse
When the first spring days arrive in the Rhineland in March, they bring with them WeinDüsseldorf Frühling — the region's most important spring wine fair. At the Rheinterrasse on Joseph-Beuys-Ufer, one of Düsseldorf's most renowned event venues, around 110 independent vintners, family wineries, direct importers, and cooperative wineries gather for a weekend. They present their selections — a total of around 900 wines for direct tasting.
The 2026 edition runs on Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8th, 2026:
The spring edition has a clear editorial focus: freshly bottled white wines from the 2025 vintage, which are perfectly suited for spring and early summer tables. In addition, there will be:
Admission of €18 in advance (€20 at the door) includes:
Minimum age: 21 years (or accompanied by a parent/guardian). Children free.
What sets WeinDüsseldorf apart from large trade fairs like ProWein is the direct, unfiltered contact between vintner and end consumer. At ProWein, vintners sell to the trade; at WeinDüsseldorf, they sell to Düsseldorf residents who come with their own wallets and can buy wine by the case (order from the exhibitor, delivery to home or direct collection).
The Rheinterrasse Düsseldorf at Joseph-Beuys-Ufer 33 is one of the city's traditional event locations — with a view of the Rhine, the Tonhalle as an architectural neighbour, and Düsseldorf's Old Town within sight. 1,500 m² of tasting area: large enough to accommodate 110 exhibitors and thousands of visitors in a pleasant atmosphere.
Düsseldorf has had a distinct wine culture for decades: the Old Town with its breweries (the Düsseldorf Altbier!), but also dozens of wine bars, restaurants with sophisticated wine lists, and the annual ProWein, the world's most important wine trade fair. WeinDüsseldorf Frühling is the end-consumer version — the city celebrates its affinity for wine here.
The 2026 spring edition focuses on freshly bottled 2025 white wines — perfect for the upcoming season. 110 exhibitors from German growing regions and international wine regions will present their selections. Organizer: Weber Messe.
Advance tickets available at webermesse.de.
Advance purchase €18, at the door €20. Includes wine tasting and exhibitor catalogue. Minimum age 21 years. Children free.
By subway: U70, U74, U75, U76, U77 to Tonhalle/Ehrenhof or Victoriaplatz/Klever Straße, then a walk of about 500 meters to the Rheinterrasse. By car: Parking available along the Rhine promenade and in nearby multi-storey car parks (charges apply). Public transport is recommended.
€18 in advance, €20 at the door. Includes wine tasting and catalogue. Minimum age 21 years (or with a parent/guardian). Children free.
Allow at least 2-3 hours for the fair — with 900 wines, you won't get to taste them all, but you can sample a good selection. Bring a notepad (apps like Vivino can help with ratings). For spring white wines, the Sunday morning slot is often less crowded.
