Tradition since the 1950s
The Wasserburg Spring Festival is considered the oldest and largest folk festival in the old district of Wasserburg am Inn. Organized by the Wasserburg Economic Development Association (WFV), it attracts numerous visitors from the town and surrounding areas year after year. The venue is the festival grounds at Badria, the leisure and adventure pool on the Inn.
Festival Tent, Beer, and Amusement Rides
For several days, guests can expect a large festival tent with regional beer and Bavarian inn culture, a colorful entertainment program with live music, and a wide range of amusement rides and showman businesses. The location on Badria Lake gives the folk festival a special, summery, relaxed atmosphere.
Parade through the Old Town
The Spring Festival traditionally opens with a parade that leads from the bus station through the picturesque Wasserburg Old Town to the festival grounds at Badria. The historic town on the Inn, situated on a peninsula, provides an impressive backdrop.
Wasserburg Spring Festival — edition 2026
The 69th Wasserburg Spring Festival 2026 runs from Wednesday, May 13th, to Whit Monday, May 25th. For thirteen days, celebrations will take place on the festival grounds at Badria: with a large festival tent, regional beer, a colorful entertainment program, and numerous amusement rides.
The folk festival opens with the traditional parade, which starts on the opening day at 5:30 PM from the Wasserburg bus station and leads through the old town to the Badria festival grounds.

Getting There
The festival grounds are located on Alkorstraße near Badria in Wasserburg am Inn. By car via the B304 / B15, by train to Wasserburg (Reitmehring) station and then by bus. Early arrival is recommended on festival days.
Admission
Admission to the festival grounds is free. Food, drinks, amusement rides, and reservations are at your own expense or via the festival hosts.
