Joint festival week for two club anniversaries with beer and wine festival, Johanniter Day, and festival Sunday by the lake
In 2026, the Upper Bavarian municipality of Eiselfing (Rosenheim district) will celebrate two significant club anniversaries: the 150th anniversary of the Bachmehring Volunteer Fire Brigade (founded in 1876, Bachmehring is a district of Eiselfing) and the 60th anniversary of TSV Eiselfing (founded in 1966). Instead of organizing two separate festivals, the boards of both clubs have joined forces and organized a joint festival week from June 12 to 14, 2026 – an exemplary model of club cooperation for the region.
The venue for all official program points is the Raab-Halle in Hafenham, another district of Eiselfing. The joint festival committee, composed of firefighters and sports club members, is planning a fitting anniversary celebration with a festival tent atmosphere, catering, and a packed program. The patron is Mayor Georg Reinthaler.
A special program item is the Johanniter Day on Saturday, June 13, 2026: 37 teams with a total of around 340 participants from all over Bavaria will compete in six competition categories – making it a record Johanniter Day for this region. The patron of the event is Bavaria's Minister of the Interior, Sports, and Integration, Joachim Herrmann. Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe is one of Germany's major Protestant aid organizations and organizes annual competitions in first aid, medical technology, and emergency services.
The highlight of the festival week is the joint festival service at Eiselfing Lake on Sunday, June 14, 2026 – a particularly atmospheric open-air liturgy by the water, jointly organized by both clubs and the local parish. This will be followed by a festival procession, lunch, and the festival finale in the Raab-Halle festival tent.
Eiselfing is a municipality with around 3,500 inhabitants in the Inn-Salzach region, the Upper Bavarian hill country east of Munich. It consists of several districts, including Hafenham (administrative seat), Bachmehring, and the main town of Eiselfing. Its location between Wasserburg am Inn and Mühldorf, with Eiselfing Lake as a tourist highlight, makes the municipality a typical representative of the Bavarian pre-Alpine region.
As a playful prelude to the anniversary, a community rally was held in the run-up to the festival week – a competition through the districts of Eiselfing that actively involved citizens in the preparations.
The joint festival week of FFW Bachmehring and TSV Eiselfing is one of the largest double club anniversaries to take place in the Rosenheim-Wasserburg region in years. With a beer and wine festival on Friday, the Johanniter Day on Saturday, and the festive festival Sunday by the lake, the program offers a different character each day.
The 2026 Johanniter Day, with 37 teams and around 340 participants from Bavaria, has more teams than ever before – setting a new benchmark for this competition tradition of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe.
