Electronic open-air with three stages and 36 artists in Püttlingen (Saarland)
With WASENBEATS, Saarland has had its own electronic open-air since 2025, making you want to dance. The venue is the Sauwasen in Püttlingen, a district in the Saarbrücken regional association — a spacious area that is perfectly suited for open-air concepts and multiple stages.
The second edition in 2026 is growing significantly: Instead of two stages and 18 acts like at the premiere in 2025, there are now three stages and 36 artists. The Main Stage has also been expanded and offers more capacity for headliner sets. The musical spectrum ranges from EDM, Hardstyle, House, and Techno — meaning there are tracks for every taste in the electronic spectrum.
The top acts of the 2026 edition:
In addition, there are 34 other acts from Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, France, and internationally — many of them newcomers using WASENBEATS as a springboard.
A special feature: SKINDRIVE, Germany's largest tattoo bus, will be on site. Anyone who wants to leave the festival with a special souvenir can get one done on site — a festival quirk that originates from the Dutch festival scene and finds a new stage in Saarland.
With around 3,000 visitors at the 2025 premiere, WASENBEATS is still a mid-range festival — but the growth of the second edition suggests that it could develop into one of the more important electronic festivals in the greater region in the medium term. A welcome home game for the people of Saarland and the club scene from Saarbrücken, Forbach, and Saarlouis.
Püttlingen is easily accessible by public transport from Saarbrücken. Worth seeing: the historic city center and the nearby industrial monument Völklinger Hütte (15 km), one of Germany's most important UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The second edition of WASENBEATS takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Sauwasen in Püttlingen. Compared to the premiere in 2025, the festival has been significantly expanded: 3 stages, 36 artists (instead of 2 stages and 18 artists in 2025), expanded main stage.
