From Premiere Success to Major Event

The WASENBEATS Festival is one of the newest and fastest-growing events in Saarland: In 2025, the premiere took place with 18 artists on two stages, and the concept was a success — thousands of young festival-goers and a completely sold-out first day established its success. For 2026, the organizers are doubling down: 36 artists on 3 stages, an expanded Mainstage, and a broader spectrum of styles.

House, EDM, Techno, Hardstyle — Spread Across Three Stages

The program structure is typically festival-oriented: The Mainstage covers EDM and commercial House, with twocolors and FÄT TONY as headliners for 2026. A second stage focuses stylistically on Techno, and a third on Hardstyle and progressive House sounds. This allows the festival to appeal to a broad audience — from mainstream fans to underground enthusiasts.

Headliners 2026: twocolors and FÄT TONY

With twocolors, arguably the most prominent duo in the German House scene comes to Püttlingen — known for tracks like “Lovefool” (a cover of the Cardigans hit) and “Bloodstream”. FÄT TONY is one of the spearheads of the German EDM scene, with festival appearances across Europe. Both acts will bring full Mainstage energy to the Sauwasen.

Sauwasen — Püttlingen Leisure Area as Festival Location

The venue is the Sauwasen leisure facility in Püttlingen — a spacious outdoor area that has been established as an event location in recent years. The grounds, formerly known as Rocco, are lovingly designed and offer space for several thousand visitors.

Local Festival Format with Supra-Regional Ambition

WASENBEATS deliberately positions itself as a local festival with supra-regional ambition: Local artists from Saarland share the stages with international acts. This serves as a platform for the regional electronic music scene on one hand, and as a destination for a young audience from all over Saarland and the adjacent Palatinate, Lorraine, and Luxembourg regions on the other.

Püttlingen — Industrial Past, Festival Future

Püttlingen is located in the Saarbrücken district, about 10 kilometers northwest of the Saarland state capital. The medium-sized town with just under 19,000 inhabitants has overcome its industrial past and now positions itself as a green family residential location with good public transport connections to Saarbrücken. The Sauwasen leisure facility is a step towards becoming an event location — the WASENBEATS Festival is its most important annual event.
