A 27-year festival era ends

The Walldorf Rock'n'Roll Weekender was founded in 1999 by a group of Rockabilly enthusiasts in Walldorf near Heidelberg (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, AGS 08226). What began as an ambitious weekend event evolved over almost three decades into one of Europe's most important Rockabilly and Rock'n'Roll gathering points. The 27th edition in 2026 is the definitive final one — a conscious decision by the organizers to end the format at its peak.

Astoria-Halle as the main venue

The venue is the Astoria-Halle Walldorf — a traditional event hall in the town center with a capacity for several hundred dancers. Several days of full program with live sets, a dance floor, and a vintage market in the foyer. Walldorf is located halfway between Heidelberg and Karlsruhe, easily accessible from the entire Rhein-Neckar region.

24 bands from ten countries

The 2026 lineup features 24 bands from ten nations — an international cross-section of the vibrant Rockabilly and Rock'n'Roll scene:

• Boogie Banausen (Germany)
• Fairytales
• Foggy Mountain Rockers
• Bands from Germany, UK, Sweden, Italy, France, Portugal, Netherlands, Austria, Ireland, and Australia

The music ranges from classic 1950s Rockabilly to Honky Tonk and Bluegrass influences, and Neo-Rockabilly with more modern elements.

Program pillars beyond the stage

The Walldorf Weekender is more than just concerts:

• Pool Party — summer vibes by the pool, also for XXL tickets
• Vintage Market with clothing, records, memorabilia, jewelry
• Vintage Car Meet with Hot Rods, Cadillacs, 1950s and 1960s US cars
• Tattoo Artists on-site with walk-in sessions
• Workshops for dancing (Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie, Jive) and hairstyling

Ticket system 2026

The last tickets in the festival's history are particularly sought after:

• XXL Ticket: 150 EUR — Friday to Monday, including Pre-Party and Pool Party
• Weekender Ticket: 130 EUR — Saturday to Monday, without Pool Party
• Day tickets available in advance, depending on the day
