Four Days Open Air, Four Stages, Free Admission
The Dinkel Festival has been an exceptional event in the Augsburg district for years: four days of open-air music, four stages in the town center, around 40 bands and artists – all with free admission. The market town of Dinkelscherben and a large team of volunteers organize the festival, financed by sponsors and gastronomy revenue.
Four Stages in the Town Center

Between Festival and Town Fair
The Dinkel Festival combines a classic festival character with the virtues of a Swabian market fair: a family program with a bouncy castle and children's disco, a small artist market with handmade products, gastronomic stands in the alleys around the festival grounds, and a closing fireworks display on Sunday evening. The audience is intergenerational, with the vast majority coming from the region between Augsburg, Donauwörth, and the Ries.

Dinkelscherben is a market town in the Augsburg district in Swabia, nestled in the hilly landscape between the Danube and Mindel rivers. With this festival, the town positions itself culturally far beyond its size – only a few Bavarian towns of comparable size host a four-day free open-air festival with four stages and 40 acts.
Dinkel Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition continues the proven format: from Thursday to Sunday, around 40 bands and artists will perform on the four stages around the town hall, Raiffeisenhof, and youth center. The program includes rock, pop, indie, world music, singer-songwriter, electronic music, and performance formats.
The MAGIC Stage in the Rathausgarten remains the central main stage, the Raiffeisenhof hosts the HIP Stage with energetic acts, the JUZE Stage is reserved for electronic music and indie, and the Rathaus-Stadel opens its doors to singer-songwriters and open mic. A children's program with a bouncy castle and children's disco, a small artist market, and a closing fireworks display complete the weekend.

Train: Dinkelscherben station on the Ulm–Augsburg line, very short distances to the town center and stages. Car: A8 exit Adelsried or Zusmarshausen, then drive to Dinkelscherben.
