Volksfest in the Walddörfer District
Volksdorf is located in the far northeast of Hamburg, nestled between the Walddörfer districts of Wellingsbüttel, Sasel, and Rahlstedt. Three times a year, the market square here transforms into a classic Hamburg Volksfest — the autumn market is the last and most atmospheric of the three, with golden foliage, early autumn evenings, and wintery fresh air.

With around 21,000 inhabitants, Volksdorf is one of Hamburg's most affluent and rural districts. The Volksdorf Museum Village and the nearby Wohldorf Forest attract walkers all year round. The autumn market directly on Kattjahren Market Square is a great opportunity to experience Volksdorf's city life in a quiet, almost village-like atmosphere.
