Spring Kick-off in the Walddörfer
With the Volksdorfer Frühjahrsmarkt, the market year begins in one of Hamburg's greenest districts. Volksdorf is located in the northeastern Wandsbek district, belongs to the Walddörfer and retains its semi-rural character to this day with thatched-roof houses, mixed orchards, and the museum village right next door.

The festival grounds are the historic Volksdorf Market Square at Kattjahren 24. For three days – Friday to Sunday – there are regional stalls, food stands, and small carousels here. Families stroll with children and dogs between the booths; the rural flair and the spring atmosphere are the charm of the event.

The market is organised by the Hamburg-Wandsbek District Office, which hosts a market in Volksdorf in both spring and autumn. Admission is free.
