Overview

In 2025, the Volksdorfer Herbstmarkt in October once again drew families and residents from Hamburg's Walddörfer to Volksdorf's market square. Three days of carousels, stalls, street food, and Volksdorf's atmosphere with late summer sun and early autumn evenings characterized the classic district festival.

The 2025 edition continued the Volksdorf market series. As usual, children's carousels, classic rides, mulled wine and food stalls, as well as small craft stalls were set up around Volksdorf's market square. The organizer is the Wandsbek district office; admission was free, as in all previous years.

Volksdorf's market square itself is a well-maintained, centrally located area directly at the Volksdorf subway station (U1), easily accessible on foot from the village-like town center with its terraced houses and front gardens.
