Inclusive Family Music Festival at the End of the Summer Holidays
The vevio.FESTIVAL is not just an open-air event — it's a statement. The vevio Hotel & Events in Spiesen-Elversberg (Neunkirchen district) operates as an inclusion business: people with and without disabilities work hand in hand in the hotel, restaurant, and event areas. Aktion Mensch supports the concept as a nationwide model project. With the new festival in 2026, vevio is expanding its inclusive event offerings to an open open-air format for the whole family.
The date is wisely chosen: The festival falls on the last weekend of the Saarland summer holidays (August 7–9, 2026), when families are still in holiday mode but slowly returning to everyday life. The main attraction on Saturday is the Queen tribute band God Save The Queen — a highly respected formation in the tribute scene, faithfully recreating the repertoire of Freddie Mercury and Brian May.
The vevio grounds are completely barrier-free: ramps, accessible sanitary facilities, support personnel concepts, sign language interpreters upon request. The program considers sensory and mobility impairments — low-stimulation quiet zones, Easy Read programs, sensorially adapted children's areas. The message: Inclusion is not a special program, but a natural part of a normal festival.
In addition to the Queen tribute on Saturday, there will be live acts from the region, a children's stage program, hands-on activities, food trucks with regional and international specialties, and an inclusion family trail. The exact program structure will be announced in the months leading up to the festival on vevio-hotel-events.de.
Spiesen-Elversberg is located in the Köllertal valley and is well-connected for tourism via the Bostalsee Resort. The municipality belongs to the Neunkirchen district and is particularly known for the football club SV 07 Elversberg. Those who wish to extend their festival visit can stay at the vevio Hotel or in one of the nearby guesthouses and explore the Saarland — from Bostalsee to the Völklingen Ironworks — as an excursion destination.
The vevio.FESTIVAL is a new format from the inclusion business vevio Hotel & Events. Aktion Mensch supports the concept. Program details will be gradually released on vevio-hotel-events.de in the months leading up to the festival.
The full lineup and daily program will be published by summer 2026 at vevio-hotel-events.de.
