Autumn edition of the showcase of local businesses in the Stuhr municipality
The municipality of Stuhr borders the Hanseatic city of Bremen directly and, despite its location in Lower Saxony, is economically closely linked to the Bremen region. The local economy is characterized by medium-sized craft, construction, and service companies, as well as retail. The Stuhrer Gewerbemarkt offers these companies a stage twice a year – in spring and autumn – to present themselves to the population of the region.
The market takes place on the Brinkum festival grounds at Brunnenweg. Several dozen exhibitors are accommodated in tents and pavilions on the site. Industries range from automotive trade and heating technology to bakery, confectionery, and goldsmithing, as well as insurance, travel agencies, and energy suppliers. Many stands offer hands-on activities, demonstrations, tastings, and special prices. The autumn market is traditionally more focused on winter business, heating technology, home technology, and pre-Christmas gifts than the spring edition.
Parallel to the business area, children's activities such as carousels, bouncy castles, face painting, and craft activities are offered. Local clubs, music groups, and dance schools perform on a stage. Gastronomy is provided by local clubs and food truck operators – with coffee and cake, sausages, international specialties, and autumn classics like Federweißer (young wine).
Admission to the Stuhrer Gewerbemarkt is free. The municipality is well connected to the Bremen transport network: Brinkum can be reached via the A 1 (Bremen–Osnabrück) and several bus lines from Bremen city center and the Stuhr districts. Parking is available around the festival grounds.
The autumn edition traditionally concludes the business year for the Business Association and is aimed particularly at visitors preparing for the winter business, renovation and heating projects, and the Christmas season. Many exhibitors offer special conditions and promotional discounts. The opening is usually performed by the mayor and the chairman of the Business Association.
The municipality of Stuhr also uses the market as a platform for its own topics such as climate protection, mobility, and citizen participation. Clubs and initiatives also present themselves.
The exact program for 2026 will be published by the organizer in late summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
A Sunday with extended shopping hours in Stuhr's shops is traditionally linked to the market date, but must be confirmed by the organizer on a case-by-case basis.
