The Spieser MusikSommer — SMS for short — is a municipal cultural event organized by the municipality of Spiesen-Elversberg in the Neunkirchen district. For several weeks in late spring and early summer, there is a concert or reading every Thursday (or on alternating weekdays) on the town hall forecourt.

Spiesen-Elversberg in the Saarland

In 2026, the festival runs from Thursday, May 21 to Thursday, June 25 — thus over five weeks with one evening event each. The venue is the town hall forecourt, set up outdoors (relocation to indoor venues possible in bad weather).
