Europe's Largest Classic Car Market
The VETERAMA (short for "Veteranen-Markt" or "Veteran Market") has existed since 1975 and is a fixture in the international classic car scene. The organizer is Veterama GmbH from Ladenburg, which organizes two major events annually: the spring edition in Hockenheim and an autumn edition in Mannheim. The spring VETERAMA 2026 runs from Friday, April 24th, to Sunday, April 26th, 2026, on the grounds of the Hockenheimring in the Rhein-Neckar district.
26 Kilometers of Exhibition Space
With approximately 26 kilometers of stand length (official organizer's figure), the VETERAMA Hockenheim is one of the largest classic car markets in Europe in terms of area. The grounds include:
- Infield with a show arena and rare collector vehicles
- Paddock area for exhibitor stands
- Outdoor areas with spare parts exchange, special exhibitions
- Pit lane with high-quality restoration objects
- Racetrack for tourist drives
What You'll Find
- Classic Cars — from pre-war vehicles to the 50s and 90s youngtimers
- Motorcycles — BMW, NSU, Zündapp, Kreidler, Yamaha, Harley-Davidson
- Tuning and Sports Cars in the Show Arena
- Tractors and Agricultural Machinery
- Bicycles and Mopeds
- Spare parts of all makes and eras — probably the largest selection in Europe in one place
- Model cars, literature, emblems, posters
Tourist Driving on the Racetrack
A special feature of the Hockenheim edition: on Fridays, you can drive laps on the GP racetrack with your own classic car as part of a "Tourist Drive." Saturdays and Sundays are reserved for motorcycle sessions — an exclusive experience that sets the VETERAMA apart from other classic car markets.
Hockenheimring and the Rhine-Neckar Region
The Hockenheimring in Hockenheim — Rhein-Neckar district, Baden-Württemberg — is one of Germany's most traditional motorsport venues. Until 2018, it hosted the Formula 1 German Grand Prix; today, it's the venue for DTM and numerous one-make series. Hockenheim itself has around 22,000 inhabitants and is located between Mannheim, Heidelberg, and Speyer in northern Baden-Württemberg, easily accessible via the A 5 and A 6 motorways.
