1000 Years Echtz — A Festival Year 2026
In 2026, the Düren district of Echtz celebrates its 1000th anniversary: the first documented mention dates back to 1025/1026, making Echtz one of the most traditional places in the Rhineland. The festival committee "1000 Years Echtz" — supported by the IG Echtz (Interessengemeinschaft Echtz - Association of Echtz) — coordinates a variety of festivals, events, and initiatives throughout 2026. The Association and Family Day on July 19 is one of the central format highlights — a day on which all Echtz associations, initiatives, and family offerings present themselves on one platform.

Echtz and Düren
