Free Music at Pentecost
The Umsonst & Draußen Festival is Passau's free Pentecost open-air event. The venue is the idyllic courtyard of the Hacklberger Brewery at Bräuhausplatz in the Hacklberg district. Passau, the city of three rivers on the border with Austria, is located in the Lower Bavaria administrative region (state of Bavaria). The organizer is the non-profit Zauberberg gGmbH.
Stage, Beer Garden, and Food Trucks
Local and national bands and artists perform on a stage of about 60 square meters. Around the stage, seated areas with umbrellas, a beer garden with Hacklberger beer, and cocktails from the Zauberberg bar invite visitors to linger. Local food trucks provide culinary offerings at fair prices.
Children's Program
On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, from 2 PM to 5 PM, there is a colorful children's program with outdoor games, face painting, and a creative workshop. At 2:30 PM, there is a puppet show for children aged three and up.

Getting There
The city bus stops directly in front of the festival grounds at Bräuhausplatz in the Hacklberg district. Parking is available at the SpVgg sports field at Lüftlbergerstraße 4 (about a ten-minute walk). Passau is accessible via the A3 motorway and as a railway hub.
Admission
Admission is free. There is no advance booking or reservation. Food and drinks are offered on-site at fair prices.
Tips
Since reservations cannot be made, arriving early is recommended for good spots. Weather-appropriate clothing is advisable, as the event is mainly outdoors.
