Uckermark Music Weeks — 30+ Years of Early Music Festival

Founded in 1992, the Uckermark Music Weeks is one of the most traditional festivals for early music in Brandenburg. The focus is on "early music and more" — classical works alongside folk music traditions, world music, and compositions from the Middle Ages to contemporary pieces. The venues are an integral part of the concept: historic churches, manor houses, monastery complexes, barns, and sometimes open-air stages lend each concert a special atmosphere.

2026 Festival Season — Over 20 Concerts in the Uckermark

The 2026 festival season runs from August 1st to 23rd and includes over 20 concerts throughout the Uckermark region. New venues for 2026 are the Hyperscheune in Templin and Gutshaus Woltersdorf. Three open-air concerts are planned: in the Bürgergarten Angermünde, the Greiffenberger Burgruine, and the Jewish Museum Garden in Schwedt. International ensembles will perform Baroque music, medieval works, tango interpretations, and vocal music — from the Orbis Quartett to the Vokalensemble Tiburtina and the Octavians Vokaloktett.

Concert on August 2, 2026 — Orbis Quartett „Aufbruch"

On Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 4 PM, the Orbis Quartett will perform its program „Aufbruch" in the Bürgergarten Angermünde — a journey through music history with works by Claudio Monteverdi (early Baroque), Robert Schumann (Romanticism), Michel Legrand (French film music), Bill Evans (Jazz), and Astor Piazzolla (Tango Nuevo). This extraordinary range — from the early Baroque to the 20th century — is typical of the programming philosophy of the Uckermark Music Weeks.

Open Air in the Bürgergarten Angermünde

The Bürgergarten Angermünde is a garden complex in the historic Uckermark district town. If the weather is good, the concert will take place directly in the garden — a summer open-air experience. In case of bad weather, the event can be moved indoors. Angermünde is reachable from Berlin in 1 hour and 30 minutes by RE3 train. Tickets are available via Reservix and the festival website.
