Bremen's biggest German rap festival on the Burgerweide
With TurnUp BRMN, the Hanseatic city has gained a festival that finally celebrates the German-speaking rap scene in the Northwest in a big way. On the vast Burgerweide – the traditional festival grounds right by Bremen's main train station – one of the biggest open-air events in North German hip-hop history takes place every midsummer. The organizers speak of Germany's largest hip-hop stage.
The lineup brings together the most important names from street rap, trap, and pop rap. In 2026, Bonez MC, Gzuz, Haftbefehl, and Ufo361 will be on stage, among others. At the premiere in 2025, Luciano, Reezy, Symba, Summer Cem, and KC Rebell performed, among others. The single main stage ensures an intense experience without stage changes.
TurnUp BRMN sees itself as more than just a concert. On the festival grounds, you'll find mini-games, sports courts (basketball, street football), skate areas, and a diverse food offering with burgers, bowls, Asian, and Arabic street food. Its compact location directly at the main train station makes the festival easily accessible for guests from all over Northern Germany.
The festival relies on a professional awareness concept against discrimination and harassment. Trained security teams and a clear complaint management system are part of the safety standards. Children under twelve are not allowed; adolescents between 12 and 16 are only permitted if accompanied by a legal guardian with a signed consent form.
With its first edition in 2025, TurnUp BRMN has established itself in a city that was long musically shaped by punk, indie, and classical music. The festival thus fills a gap and gives the young Bremen hip-hop scene a national stage. The venue is the Burgerweide, traditionally the festival site for Freimarkt and large Bremen folk festivals.
The second edition of TurnUp BRMN expands to two festival days and around 30 acts from the German-speaking rap scene. The lineup is led by Haftbefehl and Bonez MC. In addition to the main stage (described by the organizers as "Germany's largest hip-hop stage"), there will be mini-games, sports courts, and a wide food offering with vegetarian options and free drinking water stations. An aftershow on Sunday evening will round off the festival weekend.
Headliners: Haftbefehl, Bonez MC, Ufo361, Gzuz, Jazeek.
Further confirmed acts: Symba, Pajel, Faroon, Filow, Tom Hengst, OG Lu, Baran Kok, Erda, Kid Kapri, Ebow, Charlize, Thizzy52, as well as the rap collective Patina Records. A total of around 30 acts are announced.
The exact daily schedule and the complete set-time schedule will be published in the summer of 2026 on turnupbrmn.de.

The Burgerweide is located directly next to Bremen's main train station – it's only about a 60-second walk from the Findorff exit. This makes the festival easily accessible by train from all over Northern Germany. On-site parking is very limited; travel by public transport is strongly recommended.
Admission to the grounds is possible from the age of 16 without accompaniment. Adolescents aged 12 to 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Children under 12 are not allowed. The festival ends around 11 PM.
Combo tickets for both days are available from 99 Euros (Early Bird Phase 2, regular 149 Euros). Day tickets from 69 Euros. Aftershow event 20 Euros.
