Getting There

By car: A60 Rüsselsheim–Mainz, exit Rüsselsheim-Bauschheim, then B44 towards Groß-Gerau. By public transport: S9 to Groß-Gerau, then bus line to Trebur. Shuttle connections to the festival grounds will be communicated via the festival website.

The Festival at the Outdoor Pool

The Trebur Open Air is a unique festival: in 2026, the 34th edition will once again take place directly in the outdoor pool of the southern Hessian municipality of Trebur in the Groß-Gerau district. While other festivals rage on meadows, military training grounds, or industrial sites, the TOA offers pools to jump into, sunbathing lawns to chill on, and an intimate main stage at the poolside.

34 Years of Variety – From Punk to Reggae

The 2026 lineup once again combines genres and generations: Das Lumpenpack (singer-songwriter comedy), OK Kid (Indie-Pop), Dubioza Kolektiv (Balkan crossover), and Itchy (Punk rock) are part of the first wave. In recent years, bands like Donots, Antilopen Gang, Massendefekt, and Schmutzki have played. The organizers announced the program in several waves (“second band wave,” “third band wave”).

Camping, Caravan, Garden

At Trebur Open Air, there are Fields, Gardens, and CarAndVan pitches. Those arriving by motorhome can reorder their pass in their online ticket account. A print-at-home account for each order allows for the subsequent addition of camping and parking passes.

Club-Driven, Not Profit-Oriented

The festival is organized by the Trebur Open Air Association. The main sponsor for years has been Entega, along with Volksbank, Kreissparkasse, and cultural funding partners like Initiative Musik. Despite sponsorships, TOA remains a club festival – supported by a volunteer team.

The "Family-Friendly" Festival

The mix of festival vibe and swimming pool atmosphere makes the Trebur Open Air equally attractive to families and older festival fans. Those who swim a lap in the pool on Sunday before the main stage heats up in the evening know why TOA is called “Festival, Outdoor Pool, and Friendship.”

About Trebur

Trebur is a municipality in southern Hesse with around 13,000 inhabitants in the Groß-Gerau district, located between the Rhine and Main rivers. The outdoor pool with its spacious sunbathing lawns was already a meeting point for regional youth in the 1990s – the Trebur Open Air was born from this tradition. Today, festival fans travel from all over Germany, many turning the festival week into a mini-vacation in the camping area. Remarkable: the festival has remained club-driven despite international acts and over 30 years of tradition.
