Cycling tour through Hohenlohe
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Hohenlohe + Schwäbisch Hall Tourism invites you to the 2026 edition of the Tour de Hohenlohe. The start is at the Stadthalle Braunsbach in the Kocher valley. Two routes — a larger one for more ambitious riders and a smaller one for families and leisurely cyclists — lead through the hilly landscape of the Hohenlohe region.
Both routes run predominantly on cycle paths and farm tracks, partly on forest and gravel paths. The exact route can be viewed in advance via Komoot — elevation profile, distances, sights along the way. The tour is not a race, but a communal experience that can be shaped flexibly.

Cycling through one of Southern Germany's most beautiful landscapes
On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Hohenlohe + Schwäbisch Hall Tourism e.V. invites you to the annual Tour de Hohenlohe. The start is at the Stadthalle Braunsbach, a small town in the Kocher valley on the southern edge of the Hohenlohe region. The tour is deliberately not a race: it is an opportunity to explore one of Southern Germany's most attractive landscapes by bicycle, alone, with family, or with friends — in a relaxed, communicative format.
Two routes for every fitness level
Two routes are available: the large loop for more ambitious riders and the small loop for families and relaxed touring cyclists. Both routes run predominantly on cycle paths and farm tracks, with sections on forest paths and gravel tracks. Both end back at the Stadthalle Braunsbach, where refreshments and possibly a joint closing program await.
Route preview on Komoot
Both routes can be previewed on Komoot beforehand — elevation profile, route course, highlights along the way. Those who want to participate on the day of the tour can view the route in advance, choose their bicycle accordingly, and plan their refreshments. Registration is not necessary, participation is free and at your own risk.
Hohenlohe — Land between Kocher, Jagst, and Tauber
The Hohenlohe region in northeastern Baden-Württemberg is one of Southern Germany's most diverse landscapes. Gentle hills alternate with deeply cut river valleys (Kocher, Jagst, Tauber), historic towns (Schwäbisch Hall, Öhringen, Bad Mergentheim) are situated in a landscape of scattered orchards, vineyards, and forests. Hohenlohe cuisine, characterized by wild boar, lamb, and regional wines, is among Southern Germany's most distinctive culinary traditions.
Braunsbach — Small town in the Kocher valley
Braunsbach, with around 2,500 inhabitants, is a small town in the district of Schwäbisch Hall, located at the confluence of the Kocher and the Bühler spring. Unfortunately, Braunsbach became known in 2016 for a devastating flood that destroyed several houses and submerged part of the town center. The town was rebuilt with great commitment. The Stadthalle Braunsbach, the starting point of the Tour de Hohenlohe, is one of the central municipal buildings and is located on the edge of the town center.
