Three sold-out concerts by the British post-punk legends at the Parkbühne Wuhlheide – July 10, 11, and 12, 2026
Robert Smith is 67. The Cure has existed since 1978. The band behind classics like 'Boys Don't Cry', 'Friday I'm in Love', 'A Forest', 'Pictures of You', and 'Lullaby' released a new studio album in 2024, 'Songs of a Lost World', after a 16-year hiatus – conquering charts and critics worldwide. The 'Live 2026' world tour now brings the band to the Parkbühne Wuhlheide for three evenings. According to Smith, another new album is already produced and awaiting release.
The Kindl-Bühne Wuhlheide is located in the heart of Volkspark Wuhlheide in the Oberschöneweide district of Berlin (Treptow-Köpenick borough). The natural amphitheater, nestled within a pine forest, can accommodate 17,000 people. The stage opens southward towards the slope, with the audience seated and standing on wooden benches and in the standing area. Those who have attended a concert here once tend to return: the combination of forest, summer evening, and live music is virtually unparalleled in the state of Berlin.
The three concerts on July 10, 11, and 12, 2026, were sold out within hours of the pre-sale launch. This is not surprising for a band that has completed world tours with over 90 sold-out shows in the past two years – but it is noteworthy for a city where three consecutive Cure concerts at a 17,000-capacity venue are completely booked. Berlin and The Cure have a long shared history: early concerts in the divided city of the 1980s, iconic performances at the Wuhlheide and the Velodrom.
For decades, The Cure has performed marathon sets often exceeding three hours. The 'Live 2026' tour extensively integrates the new album 'Songs of a Lost World' (2024) – a conceptual cycle about loss, finitude, and beauty, which is unusually focused and remarkably successful. Alongside these are the great classics from 'Disintegration', 'The Head on the Door', 'Wish', and 'Pornography'. Those standing at the Wuhlheide on Friday will see the sun set behind the pines and, with great probability, hear 'A Forest' at the perfect moment.
On support duties are The Twilight Sad (Scotland, Post-Rock / Indie) and Just Mustard (Ireland, Shoegaze / Noise-Pop). Both bands have been touring with The Cure for years and will set their own tones before the main set at the Wuhlheide.
Three evenings of The Cure at one of Germany's most beautiful open-air stages: the summer highlight of 2026 at Wuhlheide. Robert Smith and his band, active since the late 1970s, bring their Live 2026 tour to Berlin – a continuation of their globally sold-out concerts in 2022/2023.
The setlists on the current tour regularly last over three hours, combining the latest album 'Songs of a Lost World' (2024) with the band's extensive catalog: 'Pictures of You', 'Lovesong', 'In Between Days', 'A Forest', 'Friday I'm in Love' – the list is long. All three Berlin dates were sold out shortly after the pre-sale began.
