Südstaatenmusikfest Burglengenfeld

The 29th edition of the Südstaatenmusikfest on the Naab River by the Fischerhäusl at Irl is planned for 2026. As usual, visitors can expect a two-day blues and rock open-air event with numerous groovy bands and free admission, along with draft beer, steaks, chili, barbecue, and a campfire atmosphere. The exact date in July and the full lineup had not yet been published at the time of research; based on experience, the festival takes place on a Friday and Saturday in the second half of July (2025: July 18/19). The organizer remains the association Bluesfriends im Städtedreieck e.V.

The complete 2026 lineup had not yet been published at the time of research. Based on experience, Friday starts in the early evening (approx. 6 PM) with the house band and several acts, and Saturday starts in the late afternoon (approx. 4 PM) with more bands playing blues, blues rock, delta and Chicago blues, up to rockabilly. The exact date and band program will be announced by the Bluesfriends im Städtedreieck e.V. before the festival.

Getting There

The festival grounds are located on the Naab river by the Fischerhäusl at Irl near Burglengenfeld (Schwandorf district). Access to the grounds is signposted.

Admission

Admission is free; food and drinks are paid for on-site.
