40th International Horse Show with World Cup Competitions in Show Jumping, Dressage, and Four-in-Hand Driving — Anniversary Edition
Since 1986, the Stuttgart German Masters has been one of the most important indoor equestrian events worldwide. From November 11th to 15th, 2026, the 40th anniversary edition will take place — five days of world-class sport in the Schleyer-Halle and the adjacent Porsche-Arena. Show jumping, dressage, and four-in-hand driving form the sporting core, complemented by show programs, awards, and a VIP lounge that is among the most sought-after tickets of the season internationally.
The main event is the Grand Prix of Stuttgart on Sunday — a World Cup show jumping competition of the highest difficulty level (S****), where top international riders compete for World Cup points for the 2027 final. Throughout the weekend, there will be several qualifiers, victory rounds, and team competitions. Expected participants include Christian Kukuk, Marcus Ehning, Daniel Deußer, Steve Guerdat, and Jana Wargers.
In the dressage discipline, Isabell Werth, the most successful dressage rider in history with 7 Olympic gold medals and 14 World Championship titles, is the tournament ambassador for the 40th edition. She will showcase her skills in competition for this anniversary event. Additionally, the traditional iWEST Dressage Cup Final will take place, a format where the best young dressage riders conclude their season in Stuttgart.
A special feature of Stuttgart is the FEI World Cup in Four-in-Hand Driving — a spectacular discipline where drivers navigate an obstacle course with four horses against the clock. Local hero Michael Brauchle (Marbach) and driving legend Michael Freund will compete in a show duel on Wednesday evening, which traditionally fills the stands.
On the opening day, Wednesday, November 11th, 2026, the grand anniversary show will take place. Program highlight: the "Brunold Jeep Costume Jump & Drive", a costume show where show jumpers and four-in-hand drivers compete simultaneously on the course between obstacles and cones — lots of action, lots of fun, a perfect start to the carnival season, which begins concurrently on November 11th.
In addition to the competitions, there is an extensive show program: quadrilles, Hungarian Post, figure-eight teams, horse shows, cowboy shows by Western riders, a program for the youngest horse fans, and a market with equestrian equipment, fashion, saddlery, and horse health care providers.
The Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle (capacity approx. 15,500) and the directly connected Porsche-Arena (approx. 7,500) form the NeckarPark — one of the largest dual event infrastructures in Southern Germany, located right next to the Mercedes-Benz Arena. While the competitions take place in the Schleyer-Halle, the show program runs concurrently in the Porsche-Arena. With lines S1, S2, and S3, you can travel directly to NeckarPark station.
