International Indoor Motocross Event in the Schleyer-Halle with Freestyle Motocross Show and Fireworks
The ADAC Supercross Stuttgart is one of the oldest and most renowned indoor motocross events in Germany. Since the early 1980s, ADAC Württemberg has brought top international riders to the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle for two days of racing — the home of the THW Kiel-Stuttgart handball derby, the Davis Cup, and many indoor highlights — completely transforming it into a sand track arena for one weekend.
Before the race weekend, the interior of the Schleyer-Halle is transformed: around 1,200 tons of sand and earth are brought in and sculpted by track builders into mounds, double jumps, whoops, steep berms, and tabletops. The result is a full-fledged supercross track with US standards — tight, technically demanding, with big jumps that spectators can see up close.
The program includes several competitive classes: SX1 (main class, international top riders), SX2 (second tier), SX Next (juniors), SX4, and SX5 for smaller bikes. Multiple heats, semi-finals, and finals per race day — the final decisions are made on Saturday evening.
Between the races, Freestyle Motocross pros showcase their tricks: backflips, no-hand landings, cliffhangers, somersaults over jumps up to 18 meters long. Spectacular in the arena because as a spectator, you experience the adrenaline rush from 5–10 meters away.
The event is more than just races: indoor fireworks, light and laser shows, stadium atmosphere commentary, show laps, award ceremonies with a stage. It's "motorsport as an event" — comparable to US Supercross events in NFL stadiums.
Tickets start at approx. €27 for children (6–14 years) and from €51 for adults. New offering: the Holeshot Pass (approx. €25 surcharge) — grants access to the arena one hour before official door opening and allows the first look at the track as well as paddock access in a relaxed atmosphere. Ideal for fans with photo ambitions or for families with children.
The Schleyer-Halle is located in NeckarPark Bad Cannstatt — right next to the Mercedes-Benz Arena and Porsche Arena. Easily accessible by public transport: U-Bahn lines U1 or U2 to Mercedesstraße station, S-Bahn lines S1–S3 to Cannstatt. By car, parking is available around NeckarPark (high parking pressure on event days — public transport recommended).
ADAC Württemberg has been organizing the Stuttgart Supercross for decades, making them one of the most experienced organizers in Europe — comparable to Bercy Supercross in Paris or Genoa Supercross in Italy. The Stuttgart edition is the largest indoor motocross event in Germany and the kick-off to the European indoor season.
