Premiere in Duisburg-Buchholz from April 30 to May 3, 2026
The Streetfood Drink & Music Festival Duisburg is launching for the first time in 2026 — the organizers chose the marketplace in Duisburg-Buchholz (Münchener Straße 62) as the venue for its premiere. The four-day festival runs from Thursday, April 30, to Sunday, May 3, 2026, and is organized by industry pioneer EnMa Deutschland UG.
The concept follows the established street food festival format: around 20–30 international food trucks will be spread around the marketplace, serving freshly prepared dishes from all over the world. Expected are:
Alongside the culinary offerings, there will be a DJ stage with changing sets — without genre restrictions, usually Pop, Funk, House, and Disco classics for a family-friendly atmosphere. A cocktail lounge with handcrafted drinks and a draft beer station will complement the experience. For families, there is a dedicated children's area with play facilities.
Duisburg-Buchholz is located in the south of Duisburg, directly on the border with Düsseldorf. With around 22,000 inhabitants, Buchholz is one of the more densely populated southern districts. The marketplace on Münchener Straße is the traditional center — its selection as the venue for the Streetfood Festival marks a new enhancement of the district's center.
Since 2014, street food festivals have become an established format in Germany, originating from Berlin and Hamburg. The combination of curated food trucks, live music, and bar culture has modernized the classic city festival, transforming it into a more urban variant. The Duisburg festival clearly positions itself within this tradition — with an emphasis on quality over Volksfest quantity.
