Street food festival with international food trucks, live music, and street art on Berlin's Teufelsberg
Teufelsberg is one of Berlin's most unusual places: an artificial hill in Grunewald, built from rubble after World War II, which housed a US NSA listening station during the Cold War. Today, the site is publicly accessible – and home to one of Europe's largest street art galleries in the former Radom towers. The Street Food Fest on Teufelsberg uses this unique setting for a two-day street food festival with international food trucks.
The festival brings together international food trucks offering culinary journeys across global cuisines: Latin American street food (Empanadas, Tacos, Arepas), Asian specialties (Pho, Ramen, Bao), Arabic and Middle Eastern classics (Falafel, Manakish, Shawarma), European specialties (French galettes, Italian street food classics, German bratwurst variations), as well as vegan and vegetarian stalls. The culinary offerings are accompanied by the typical breeze on the mountain – and by "spices, cooking, and baking aromas" over the festival, as the official description puts it.
Teufelsberg is not just a culinary destination: The street art gallery in the former Radom domes and administrative buildings remains accessible during the festival – one of Berlin's most extensive outdoor galleries featuring works by international and Berlin-based artists. Additionally, live bands and DJs will perform on outdoor stages throughout both days.
From Teufelsberg, you have one of the best panoramic views over Berlin – with Grunewald in the foreground, followed by City West with the Funkturm and Gedächtniskirche, and on clear days, views extending to the Brandenburg Gate and the TV Tower. The street food festival thus combines a culinary weekend with a tourist highlight that many Berliners rarely visit.
The festival charges an entrance fee – unlike most free Berlin street food markets. The prices are moderate (€12 adults, €10 reduced, €5 for children/students up to 17, free for children under 7). This helps finance the festival, including the maintenance of the Teufelsberg site.
With food trucks, open stages, and the street art gallery, the festival is spread across the entire outdoor area of the former NSA station. In clear weather, the viewing platform offers the renowned 360° panoramic view over Berlin and Grunewald.
