Three Days of Beach in the Middle of Langenfeld

When real palm trees, deck chairs, and tons of white sand are dumped onto Langenfeld Market Square at the end of August 2026, the Street Food & Beach Festival begins — one of the most relaxed summer events in the Bergisches Land region. For three days, food truck culture, Caribbean vibes, and live music merge into a kind of vacation around the corner. Free admission, families welcome.

Dates and Opening Hours 2026

Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, on and around Langenfeld Market Square. The festival starts on Friday afternoon, and runs all day until late evening on Saturday and Sunday — with a focus on live music in the evenings.

Over 30 Food Trucks — The World on Wheels

More than 30 food trucks gather on and around the market square with international specialties:

• Caribbean jerk specialties and tacos from Mexico
• Street food classics like burgers, pulled pork, smoker BBQ, and loaded fries
• Asian: Bao Buns, Sushi Burritos, Korean BBQ
• Vegetarian and vegan: Falafel, bowls, halloumi wraps
• Sweets: Donuts, crêpes, ice cream, pancakes, churros

In addition, cocktail bars with Caipirinhas, Mojitos, non-alcoholic drinks, aperitifs, beer, and wine — beach bar style.

Three Live Stages — Latin, Reggae, Pop

Three stages are spread across the festival grounds. The program is dominated by a summery Latin sound: Salsa, Bachata, Reggae, plus Pop, Soul, Funk, and DJ sets. Interactive participation activities (dance workshops, sing-along acts) are standard. The program will be published shortly before the festival on street-food-beach.de.

Beach Volleyball on the Market Square

A highlight: the beach volleyball tournament directly on the sand of the market square. Registration is possible via the festival website; open to hobby teams. Free and worth watching.

Children's Program and Family Time

For the little ones, there are bouncy castles, face painting, and small craft stands. The sandpit, palm trees, and deck chairs are particularly attractive for families: parents eat relaxed while children dig in the sand.

Langenfeld (Rhineland)

Langenfeld is located between Düsseldorf and Cologne in the Rhein-Kreis Neuss-Mettmann (Kreis Mettmann) and has around 60,000 inhabitants. Its central location makes the festival attractive for day-trippers from Düsseldorf and Cologne — 15 minutes by train from Düsseldorf, 20 minutes from Cologne.
