The Stralsund Christmas Market is considered the oldest Advent market on the Baltic coast – its history has been documented since 1512. A winterly festive landscape unfolds across the entire UNESCO World Heritage old town: the Alter Markt with a culture tent, the Rathauskeller with arts and crafts, the Neuer Markt with an ice rink, amusement rides, and a Ferris wheel, as well as the Johanniskloster with a medieval Nikolai Market. The Stralsund Christmas Market will open in 2026 from late November until early January 2027. At four locations – Alter Markt, Rathauskeller, Neuer Markt, and Johanniskloster – visitors can expect a culture tent, arts and crafts, an ice rink, a 30-meter high Ferris wheel, and the medieval Nikolai Market.

From late November 2026 to early January 2027, the Stralsund Christmas Market transforms the UNESCO World Heritage old town into a winterly festive landscape. Four locations define the scene: the Alter Markt with a culture tent and over 40 free events, the Rathauskeller with more than 40 craftspeople, the Neuer Markt with an ice rink, amusement rides, a 30-meter high Ferris wheel, and breakdance, as well as the Johanniskloster with the medieval Nikolai Market (December 12–13). It is open Mondays to Thursdays from 11 am to 9 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 10 pm, and Sundays from 11:30 am to 9 pm.
