Town Festival and Day of the Bundeswehr in One
The Storkower Stadtfest „Wir. Sind. Storkow." 2026 is an extraordinary festival weekend: From June 9 to 11, 2026, the town of Storkow (Mark) combines its annual town festival with the central Day of the Bundeswehr. Storkow, with the nearby Bundeswehr barracks Kasernen am Storkower See, is one of the traditional garrison and administrative locations of the Bundeswehr in Brandenburg, making the combination of the two festival days particularly sensible.
Friday, June 9, 2026 – Festival Kick-off
The first day of the festival runs from 4 PM to midnight:
- Opening of the market area and stalls.
- DJ and local bands on the main stage.
- Concert by the pop band Kesh.
- Main act: Stereoact – the dance/electro duo from Brandenburg.
- 11:45 PM – Grand fireworks display over the market square.
Saturday, June 10, 2026 – Day of the Bundeswehr
Saturday is all about the Bundeswehr (9 AM to 1 AM):
- Large Equipment to Admire: Bundeswehr vehicles, helicopters, and tanks displayed in the town center.
- Helicopter Flyover by the Army Aviation Squadron.
- Parade through the city center, accompanied by a 30-member fanfare from Opalenica, Poland (twin town).
- Comedy with Mike Maverick on stage.
- Main Concert: Bundeswehr Big Band feat. Pe Werner.
- Catering and market stalls around the Bundeswehr exhibition.
- City center and Burgstraße are completely closed.
Sunday, June 11, 2026 – Food and Family Day
Sunday (11 AM to 6 PM) is family-oriented:
- Bavarian Food and Experience Village with Weißwurst, pretzels, and beer garden atmosphere.
- Children's program and interactive stations.
- Main Concert: Münchener Freiheit – the pop band from the 80s.
- Other local acts and market stalls.
Pre-Event at Storkow Castle (June 16)
On Thursday, June 16, 2026, Storkow Castle invites you to the open-air premiere of the play „Don Quijote de la Mark" – a Brandenburg adaptation of the Cervantes classic, performed by the Storkow Castle theater ensemble.
Shuttle and Parking
The organizer offers a free shuttle service from the signposted parking lots North, West, and South – continuously on Saturday from 8 AM to 2 AM. The city center and Burgstraße are closed to car traffic.
Storkow (Mark) – The Small Castle Town
Storkow (approx. 9,000 inhabitants) is one of the oldest towns in the Mark Brandenburg, first documented in 1209. The town is located on Lake Storkow and the River Spree; its defining landmarks are Storkow Castle (the oldest preserved lowland castle in Brandenburg, 13th century) and the town church.
Stadtfest Storkow — edition 2026
The Storkower Stadtfest „Wir. Sind. Storkow." 2026 takes place from June 9 to 11, 2026, in the center of Storkow (Mark). The organizers are the town of Storkow (Mark) and the Bundeswehr, which is using the weekend to combine the town festival and the Day of the Bundeswehr.
The festival kick-off on Friday (4 PM – midnight) features local bands, the pop act Kesh, and the Brandenburg dance/electro duo Stereoact; at 11:45 PM, a grand fireworks display will light up the sky. Saturday (9 AM – 1 AM) is the Day of the Bundeswehr: vehicles, helicopters, and tanks will be on display, a helicopter flyover will open the parade, which will be accompanied by a 30-member Polish fanfare from the twin town of Opalenica. In the evening, there will be comedy with Mike Maverick and a main concert with the Bundeswehr Big Band feat. Pe Werner. Sunday (11 AM–6 PM) is family-oriented with a Bavarian food and experience village and a headline performance by pop legend Münchener Freiheit.

Getting There
Train: Storkow (Mark) station on the RB36 line Königs Wusterhausen–Beeskow. About a 10-minute walk from the station to the market square.
Car: A12 (Berlin–Frankfurt/Oder), Storkow exit, then B246 to the center. Parking outside (North, West, South) with free shuttle.
Admission
Admission to all areas and concerts is free. Food and drinks at the stalls are paid for directly.
Traffic Management
On Saturday, the city center and Burgstraße are completely closed to car traffic. Please use only the shuttle parking lots.
