28th Medieval Easter Festival at Storkow Castle
Storkow Castle is a moated castle built in the 13th century in the south of the present-day town of Storkow (Mark) in the Oder-Spree district, about 60 km southeast of Berlin. The striking keep complex is now managed by the nature park administration and houses a permanent exhibition on the history of the March of Brandenburg. With its inner and outer courtyards, it offers an ideal backdrop for large medieval events — and has been the venue for the Osterspectaculum for almost three decades.
The event is organized by the group Carnica Spectaculi, which has established the Osterspectaculum as one of the oldest medieval Easter festivals in Brandenburg. The 28th edition runs from Saturday, April 4th to Monday, April 6th, 2026:
Three permanent troupes shape the 2026 program:
Each of the three days features around 10 spectacles — including two equestrian tournaments (12:45 PM and 4 PM), foot knight combat, minstrel concerts, and a grand tavern spectacle in the evening with mead, medieval cuisine, and musical accompaniment. Knight camps with tents are set up across the grounds — visitors can watch the blacksmith, bowyer, and armourer at work.
The admission scale is deliberately family-friendly (online advance booking):
Storkow is located on the Storkower See lake in the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park. Bus line 433 runs from Königs Wusterhausen station (RE2 from Berlin) towards Storkow, stopping at "Burg." By car: A12, exit Friedersdorf, then B246 to Storkow. Parking around the castle will be signposted during the Spectaculum.
The 28th Osterspectaculum at Storkow Castle takes place from April 4th to 6th, 2026. The castle in the Oder-Spree district opens its inner and outer grounds for a medieval Easter festival with three days of programming.
Three permanent troupes perform in the castle courtyard: the equestrian group Mandschur Tengri with two tournaments daily (approx. 12:45 PM and 4 PM), the jugglers and acrobats Flugträumer, and the medieval music group The Sandsacks. They are complemented by Hochkant — stilt walkers and an evening fire show. Each day features around ten program items alongside the market, knight camps, and blacksmith.
