Summer Festival by the Lake in Bad Saarow Spa Park

Bad Saarow — Spa Town and Lakeside Resort on Scharmützelsee

With around 6,000 inhabitants, Bad Saarow is one of Brandenburg's best-known spa towns, located directly on Scharmützelsee — a 12-kilometer-long, largely undeveloped lake in the Oder-Spree district. The spa park, with its linden avenues, the Kurhaus, and the lakeside promenade, is the center of summer town life. On the first weekend of July 2026, it will become the stage for the Summer Festival.

2026 Program — Three Evenings of Concerts

Friday, July 3rd (4:00 PM–10:00 PM): Opening with Daniel Hilpert & Band feat. Dolan Jose, presenting their "30 Years Restless" anniversary tour at the concert at 6:00 PM. Saturday, July 4th (1:00 PM–11:00 PM): Family Day — "Die Band" plays hits from the 80s and 90s at 3:00 PM; starting at 8:30 PM, the "ABBA-Fever" tribute show follows. Sunday, July 5th (12:00 PM–6:00 PM): Closing with BigBand Köpenick, The Art Collective (excerpts from the musical "Chicago"), and Bernd Kroll & Band.

Wine Market and Craft Market

Parallel to the stage program, the wine stands will open — selected wines from regional and supra-regional vintners, combined with culinary offerings. A craft market featuring pottery, felt art, and jewelry making complements the profile. For children, there will be face painting, interactive shows, and a dedicated stage program on Saturday.

In the Oder-Spree District and on Scharmützelsee

Scharmützelsee — sometimes called the "Märkisches Meer" (March Sea) — is one of Brandenburg's most beautiful swimming lakes, with its clear water and small bays. Bad Saarow on the west bank has been a spa town since the beginning of the 20th century. The Summer Festival date in early July is embedded in the excursion season from Berlin (around 60 km away) — typically combining a day at the lake, a concert evening, and wine enjoyment.
