The 26th edition of the Störnsteiner Bierfassrollen will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026. An oak beer barrel will be rolled from Störnstein to the Chodovar family brewery in Bohemian Chodová Planá. The barrel will be accompanied by a run of approximately 100 kilometers with 37 participants from Störnstein. Participants from both locations will transport the barrel together across the German-Czech border. The highlight is the arrival at the Chodovar brewery and the opening of the beer season. Traditionally, representatives from both places start the first section of the route with the barrel.

Getting There
Störnstein is located in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district, accessible via the A93 (Neustadt an der Waldnaab exit) and country roads. The route leads from Störnstein across the border to the Chodovar brewery in Chodová Planá (Czech Republic).

Accompanying the route is open to the public. Those crossing the border should carry identification documents.
