Overview

In 2025, participants from Störnstein and Chodová Planá once again rolled an oak beer barrel together across the German-Czech border to the Chodovar brewery. The Bierfassrollen reaffirmed the living neighborhood in the Upper Palatinate border region.

The Störnsteiner Bierfassrollen 2025 continued the cross-border tradition: an oak beer barrel was rolled from Störnstein to the Chodovar family brewery in Bohemian Chodová Planá, accompanied by a long run. Participants from Störnstein and the neighboring Czech town transported the barrel together across the international border before it arrived at the brewery for the opening of the beer season. As a unique traditional festival in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district, the Bierfassrollen also combined tradition, beer culture, and German-Czech friendship in 2025.
