Steampunk in Historic Half-Timbered Architecture
Steampunk combines Victorian design, steam engine aesthetics, goggles, corsets, copper pipes, and retro-futuristic inventions into a distinct subgenre. With the Steampunk Advent in the Zehntscheuer Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart's scene finds a fitting venue: a historic half-timbered building from the late Middle Ages with romantic medieval beams, perfectly matching the aesthetic world of Steampunk.
Zehntscheuer Zuffenhausen
The Zehntscheuer at Zehnthof 1 is a landmark of Zuffenhausen, one of Stuttgart's northernmost districts. Originally, the building served as a collection point for the tithe, the in-kind tax paid to the church and nobility. Today, the Zehntscheuer is a municipal venue with a covered interior and a heated stage – ideal for a winter event.
Steampunk Advent — What to Expect
The program follows the successful premiere in 2025: live music with Steampunk bands and fitting genre acts, a curated bar with cocktails and winter drinks, a fashion show with elaborately designed outfits, a small exhibition of maker and cosplay pieces, as well as dancing and socializing late into the evening. Those who wish can come in full Steampunk attire – goggles, top hats, corsets, leather vests, brass accessories.
Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen in Advent Light
In the district of Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Zuffenhausen is located in the north and is internationally known primarily as the home of Porsche. In December, the district offers, in addition to the Steampunk Advent, classic Christmas markets and festive lights – a combination of district tradition and subcultural Advent event.
Steampunk Advent — edition 2026
Second Edition in the Zehntscheuer
The 2026 edition builds on the positive reception of the 2025 premiere. Once again, the historic Zehntscheuer Zuffenhausen opens its doors to the Steampunk community of Stuttgart and its surroundings. The medieval half-timbered beams provide the ideal backdrop for goggles, top hats, corsets, and brass accessories.
The program is not yet detailed at this time, but it will be based on the premiere: live music (Steampunk bands or thematically fitting acts), curated cocktail bar, fashion show, small maker and cosplay exhibition, and a dance floor until late evening.

Provisional Schedule (based on 2025)
- 2:00 PM — Doors open, welcome at the Zehntscheuer
- 2:30 PM — Cocktail bar opens, first live acts begin
- afternoon — Steampunk fashion show and maker exhibition
- evening — Live music and dance floor
- late night — Socializing until midnight

Getting There
Take the S-Bahn (S6) from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof to Zuffenhausen (10 minutes), then an 8-minute walk to the Zehntscheuer at Zehnthof 1. By car via the B 10 or the A 81 (Zuffenhausen exit). Parking is available on the streets around the Zehnthof.
Admission
Tickets are available through official sales points and the Steampunk Advent network on Facebook. Specific prices and online sales will be published in early November 2026.
Dress Code
Steampunk attire is encouraged but not mandatory. Those who come without costumes are also welcome – the atmosphere is open and inclusive.
